Below are some of the most common questions we are asked; if you have a question that is not answered below please contact us for further information.

 

Q. Can I use a square table cloth on a round table?

A. If sized correctly a square cloth will fit a round table however the corners will drop lower than the sides, a round cloth however will give an even length drop all around. 

 

Q. Are there any minimum/maximum limits to the amount of linen you can supply?

A. We have a large amount of table linen in stock so whether you are planning for a few, or a thousand guests, we’ve generally got enough stock to cover your event.

 

Q. What size cloth should I use on a 3’ diameter round table?

A. A number of cloths will fit however we recommend a 90” diameter circular cloth as this will drop evenly near to the floor all around.

 

Q. What size cloth should I use on a 4’ diameter round table?

A. A number of cloths will fit however we recommend a 108” diameter circular cloth as this will drop evenly near to the floor all around.

 

Q. What size cloth should I use on a 5’ diameter round table?

A. A number of cloths will fit however we recommend a 118” diameter circular cloth as this will drop evenly near to the floor all around.

 

Q. What size cloth should I use on a 6’ diameter round table?

A. A number of cloths will fit however we recommend a 130” diameter circular cloth as this will drop evenly near to the floor all around.

 

Q. What size cloth should I use on a rectangular trestle table?

A. Most standard testle tables are 2’6” wide by either 6’ or 8’ long, we recommend 70x108” and 70x144” rectangular cloths respectively for these two tables.

 

Q. Do you supply drapes for hire for the top table at a wedding?

A. We do not hire drapes for rectangular tables however a 70” wide table cloth can be laid offset (i.e. pushed forwards) so that the drop at the front is more than at the back.  A drop of 28” at the front will sit the cloth near to the floor and will leave a 12” drop at the back (on a standard 2’6” wide trestle table).

 

Q. Do we need to launder the table cloths we hire before returning them?

A. You do not need to launder the cloths however you should shake any table decorations etc. from the cloths before returning them to us.  We launder the cloths ourselves before the next hire.

 

Q. How long does your laundry / ironing service take?

 A. Our standard service usually takes 2-3 working days to complete, this gives us sufficient time to re-clean items if necessary.  We can provide same day laundry services if required and although this is subject to availability we will always try to accommodate your needs.  

 

Q. Are all laundry services the same?

A. We believe not; like most things in life the quality of service is often related to the price you pay for it.  There are many laundry companies and ironing services businesses that provide their services for very low costs however the quality of cleaning and finished results will probably be reflected in those low prices.

 

Q. Can you offer discounts for regular work?

A. Our prices are fixed and proportionate to the quality of service we provide.  There are several areas that cleaners can cut costs – using old machinery, short wash cycles, cheaper detergents, lack of quality control and reduced re-work however these savings are often reflected in the finished item.  We do not make these compromises as we pride ourselves on the high quality and reliability of our services.  If you are a trade customer with a regular laundry requirement we will always provide you with an individual quote to suit your specific needs. 

 

Q. Are there any items you do not clean?

A. We do not process laundry from healthcare or veterinary establishments, underwear, handkerchiefs, pet blankets, or any items that are heavily soiled.

 

Q. Is it hygienic?

A. We maintain good hygiene practice at all times within our laundry; this includes physical separation of unlaundered and clean items through zoned work areas for washing, drying, finishing, packing and storage.  We use modern equipment and quality cleaning detergents, including active stain removal agents and antibacterial additives, and we never mix customers items during washing.

 

Q. Do you provide a laundry service for business customers?

Yes we do; you have the option of either buying your own stock for us to clean, or, we can supply you brand new stock for your exclusive use for a minimum term duration.

 

Q. We own our stock of table cloths, can you clean these for us?

A. Yes we can; each customers’ items are processed as an individual batch separate from other customers' and our own stock.  We are happy to process customers’ own items as well as our own hire stock.

 

Q. Are there any minimum/maximum limits to the amount of laundry you can process?

A. We understand that different customers’ needs can vary considerably ranging from a dozen towels to hundreds of table cloths or bedding sets every week.  We are fully equipped with modern laundry and ironing machines and have an operational capacity to process hundreds of items every hour therefore we can generally accommodate the needs of most small to medium sized businesses.
